AP Calculus AB is designed to be the equivalent of a first semester college calculus course devoted to topics in differential and integral calculus.
In AP Calculus AB, students walk in the footsteps of Newton and Leibnitz. This interactive course framework combines with an exciting on-line course delivery to make calculus an adventure. The course includes a study of limits, continuity, differentiation, integration, differential equations, and the applications of derivatives and integrals. This course consists of a full high school year of work that is comparable to calculus courses in colleges and universities. It is expected that students who take an AP course in calculus will seek college credit, college placement, or both, from institutions of higher learning. Most colleges and universities offer a sequence of several courses in calculus, and entering students are placed within this sequence according to the extent of their preparation, as measured by the results of an AP examination or other criteria.
The AP exam fee is not included in the course fee.
Students are strongly recommended to study 6 - 8 hours per week.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES: Before studying calculus, all students should complete the equivalent of four years of secondary mathematics designed for college-bound students: courses that should prepare them with a strong foundation in reasoning with algebraic symbols and working with algebraic structures. Prospective calculus students should take courses in which they study algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry, and elementary functions.

The AP Computer Science A course is an introductory computer science course. A large part of the course involves developing the skills to write programs or parts of programs that correctly solve specific problems. The course also emphasizes the design issues that make programs understandable, adaptable, and when appropriate, reusable. At the same time, the development of useful computer programs and classes is used as a context for introducing other important concepts in computer science, including the development and analysis of algorithms, the development and use of fundamental data structures, and the study of standard algorithms and typical applications. In addition, an understanding of the basic hardware and software components of computer systems and the responsible use of these systems are integral parts of the course.
The AP Computer Science A (AP CSA) course is complementary to AP Computer Science principles (AP CSP). While AP CSA focuses primarily on the technical aspects of Java programming in software development, AP CSP uses programming in Python to solve a wide range of real-world problems and explore the underlying principles of computation across other disciplines.
The AP exam fee is not included in the course fee.
Students are strongly recommended to study on average 10 hours per week.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES: It is recommended that students have successfully completed a first- year high school algebra course with a strong foundation of basic linear functions, composition of functions, and problem-solving strategies that require multiple approaches and collaborative efforts. Prior computer science experience is not required to take this course.

Develop critical standards for the appreciation of literary works and increase your sensitivity to literature as a shared experience. For a year, students participate in the AP Dinner Party in the AP Literature and Composition course. Menu items include reading, analyzing, writing, rewriting, and discussing creations by the master chefs, renowned authors. Through close reading of the text of these authors, you'll discover the various ways writers use language to provide meaning and pleasure for their readers. The AP English Literature and Composition course focuses on reading, analyzing, and writing about imaginative literature (fiction, poetry, drama) from various periods. Students engage in close reading and critical analysis of imaginative literature to deepen their understanding of the ways writers use language to provide both meaning and pleasure. As they read, students consider a work’s structure, style, and themes, as well as its use of figurative language, imagery, and symbolism. Writing assignments include expository, analytical, and argumentative essays that require students to analyze and interpret literary works.

With the current changes in global climate, rising sea levels, and warming oceans, it is important for students to discover the state of Earth's systems and the consequences of human activities. AP Environmental Science provides students with a global view of their world and their role in it. It examines the scientific principles and concepts required to understand the interrelationships between ocean, land, and atmosphere that guide the natural world and allow Earth to be a planet suitable for life. Laboratory activities within the course support learning of these relationships through reflective, hands-on, or virtual experiences. In addition, students identify and analyze environmental problems that are natural and human-made, determining their own ecological footprint in the world to discover how their activities affect the world around them. Students evaluate the relative risks associated with environmental problems and examine alternative solutions including clean energy, sustainable practices, and conservation, for resolving or preventing future environmental problems. They then zoom out to the largest scale of economic analysis, learning the indicators of whole countries’ economic health, specifically gross domestic product, unemployment, and price level. With that foundation the rest of the course examines fiscal and monetary policies, their consequences, and the basics of international trade and the foreign exchange market. In addition to preparing for the AP Exam, students gain a deeper understanding of the world around them, the roles that government and banks play in an economy, and the economic outcomes generated by policy decisions. AP Research, the second course in the AP Capstone experience, allows students to deeply explore an academic topic, problem, issue, or idea of individual interest. Students design, plan, and implement a yearlong investigation to address a research question. Through this inquiry, they further the skills they acquired in the AP Seminar course by learning research methodology, employing ethical research practices, and accessing, analyzing, and synthesizing information. Students reflect on their skill development, document their processes, and curate the artifacts of their scholarly work through a process and reflection portfolio. The course culminates in an academic paper of 4,000–5,000 words (accompanied by a performance, exhibit, or product where applicable) and a presentation with an oral defense.

AP Seminar is a foundational course that engages students in cross-curricular conversations that explore the complexities of academic and real-world topics and issues by analyzing divergent perspectives. Using an inquiry framework, students practice reading and analyzing articles, research studies, and foundational, literary, and philosophical texts; listening to and viewing speeches, broadcasts, and personal accounts; and experiencing artistic works and performances. Students learn to synthesize information from multiple sources, develop their own perspectives in written essays, and design and deliver oral and visual presentations, both individually and as part of a team. Ultimately, the course aims to equip students with the power to analyze and evaluate information with accuracy and precision in order to craft and communicate evidence-based arguments. AP Seminar offers a combination of online and presence or zoom based education, with interactive lessons with instructors. Topics for AP Seminar are going to be announced in September based on students' interests in humanities, maths and sciences, and natural sciences.
