At the beginning I honestly did not know what to expect from this course, but now I can say that I really enjoyed it. One of the things I liked the most was the independence. I could choose when, how and how long I wanted to study, which was really comfortable for me. I also liked the study materials and the additional videos that we could watch because they helped me understand the topics better.
My favorite module was definitely the last one about antibiotics😊. I especially enjoyed learning how antibiotics work, the biochemistry behind them, and how bacteria develop resistance. I found this topic really fascinating and I would definitely like to learn more about it in the future.
I also really enjoyed both lab parts because they felt much more practical than normal studying. I felt like I was working in a real laboratory and doing actual research or experiments. Another big advantage was the instructor, who was always very helpful and kind whenever I needed something, so I would also like to thank you for your support during the course👏.
The most difficult part for me was probably the final test because I had to revise all five modules at once. The terminology was also sometimes difficult, but nothing impossible to learn. I also liked how the modules were organized step by step. First basic microbiology, then Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, different diseases and finally antibiotics. I think the order made sense and helped me understand the topics better.
During the course I also realized that bacteria are not always dangerous and that microorganisms are much more interesting than I originally thought. Even though I probably do not remember every detail now😅 I still think this course showed me how fascinating microbiology can be and I hope it is not the last time I learn about it.
I am still thinking about whether I want to try AP Chemistry next year, so I will probably spend the summer deciding. But overall I would definitely recommend this course to students who are interested in biology, bacteria, medicine, or microbiology in general. I also think it is a very good introduction before taking more difficult AP courses.

I really liked the course and it made me realise that I want this topic to be a part of my future career.. Even though it was really tedious and quite hard to obtain all of the needed things for the lab it was my favourite part. It was so interesting to find out how many bacteria are around us and on objects we interact with everyday.

I really liked this course it helped me realise that this is something I do wanna pursue in the future. I really enjoy all of the details and how compact it was. I feel like I learned a lot and there is still so much to learn. I am genuinely so grateful for this course аnd it also taught me how to be responsible and take care of my stuff like rescheduling and stuff. I don’t think I can pick a favorite part of it I found everything in this very interesting and so fun and I am thinking of doing AP chemistry next year or something in this type of fieled. But I must say that it was hard in someways giving how busy I am with school and a lot of sports I did find it a little difficult to keep up with deadlines like right now, which I apologise for it’s something I want to work on if I decide to continue doing these courses in the future. And I want to thank our teacher for always helping me and even today when I am still not on time. Before this course I thought I knew quite a bit about bacteria’s but this course showed me a whole new world to it and I am super grateful for that. I definitely do recommend this course to everyone

I enjoyed this course and I found it very educative. I liked learning about antibiotics specifically. I do not see improvements from the course but rather for myself. I must not do work last minute, and work more consistently.

I enjoyed this course very much. I learned a lot of new and interesting things about bacteria, microorganisms, and diseases, caused by bacteria.
I enjoyed the discussions and especially the projects at the end of the course - Correct use of antibiotics and Antibiotics used by me and by my family. I loved these projects. There were obviously times when I liked some topics more and sometimes less but in general, I think it was great. I am sure I can use my new knowledges in the future. I had an opportunity to improve my English as well.
I also find the lab in midterm very good. I think it was good to work not only on the computer but also on the real "lab desk".
Thank you for the nice time of exploring the fascinating worlds of bacteria!
