The reason I decided to begin this course was to deepen my knowledge of psychology. Even though it was a Psychology BASICS course, one has to always start from scratch to then improve further. :) I’m very glad to say that this course met my expectations and completed my aims in studying psychology, showed me that there are more subfields than I was aware of, and finally, taught me lots of new stuff in the field I want to continue with in the future. What I really liked about our course instructor was her personal and individual approach toward us students.
Student, 2025
I wish my lessons at school were as interesting as the course. I enjoyed every module and learned a lot of new things that I can now use in school and generally in life or as fun facts.

What students say about the course - 2024/25:
What did you enjoy about the course?
- To be honest, I did not know what to expect from this course, but from the first module, I realized that I enjoy learning new things in a field I am interested in. I enjoyed the content itself because I vaguely knew about some of the topics, but this course helped build a foundation, especially since all the information is connected and relevant to each other. Apart from this, I enjoyed completing the assessments, which I found incredibly interesting. Lastly, the collaborative project was just the cherry on top—I got to connect with amazing new people, and overall, this whole experience has been amazing, to say the least.
- I enjoyed the information I learned. Sometimes the way it was presented made it easier to understand.
- I gained a lot of of knowledge. The material was clear and easy to understand.
- I think it is important to say, that I am so greatful for this opportunity to do CTM, it made me think about what I want to do in life, and where I want to continue going. I have enjoyed this course so much even though I told myself that it is best to choose a different expertise. But that does not mean I did not learn anything useful for everyday life. It was my goal to get better education in this field and i can imagine using this information in my hobbies.
- I really liked that it was different from normal learning we're used to in school. I appreciated it a lot because it was something pleasant and new to me.
- I really enjoyed the psychology course—much more than I expected. I’m glad I learned the basic concepts of psychology and how they apply to everyday life. I especially appreciated the real-life examples and interesting discussions.
- I loved everything, to be honest. The whole process of learning is always enjoyable to me, but this was even more amazing, because I have chosen it and it was something I was eager to do. I also liked the feeling of productivity. I had a schedule and a pattern of learning, and it was a great joy to see all the completed assignments piling up. Plus, my political essays are now just a little bit more scientific, since now I can reference studies and psychologists.
- I learned much more than I anticipated, not just from the actual material. I learned how to have video discussions, how to work with others, and also how to manage my time better. And of course, I really enjoyed the material itself, it was incredibly interesting.
- The most I enjoyed was the psychical disorder assignments. Over all the structure of this course. I feel like now i have the final overview of basics psychology.
- I enjoyed learning about different aspects of psychology described in different modules. I also liked how I was able to connect with my coursemates (via DbA's, collaboration).
- What I enjoyed most about the course were the Discussion-Based assessments as it allowed me to elaborate further about certain topics. Moreover, I loved that the course provided information in a manageable and intelligible way.
- I really enjoyed learning more about all the different field of psychology and being able to final study the thing that I really love and I want to know more about. I am happy that we got to explore lots difference things, like the history and different places you can use psychology. It was also really intersting to learn about all the different disorders and problems that people face nowadays.
- I am really happy with my attitude I had. I struggled with discipline in the past and this year was a kind of “free trial” of how it was going to be next year if I want to excel academically. I took up this course partially to have something that is purely my responsibility, and I believe I handled it pretty well.
How do you evaluate the course instructor?
- I have to say, I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor than Aneta. She was always very understanding, and the feedback she gave was always helpful. Another amazing thing was that during the debates, whenever she explained the concepts further, they became much easier to understand. She was there for us throughout the whole process always kind, supportive, and always fair to everyone.
- She answered all questions clearly and made helpful exceptions for me, which I appreciated, though sometimes I felt she was a bit too accepting of my shortcomings.
- Aneta was so sweet and supportive. I asked her many additional questions, as did others, and she was very open-minded. I can see she loves working with children, always responded quickly and clearly.
- I am so happy that I had Aneta as my instructor, she was always so nice and helpful, everytime I needed to ask a question, I simply wrote a email and got my answer right away. The discussion based assignments were kind of stressful for me, however, due to our incredible mentor, I was not stress at all after our first meeting. I am so greateful for this kind of instructor. Thank you.
- I am really grateful we've got Aneta because she was the best. The DbAs were fun, she always explained everything and she even helped me with some questions that weren't about this course but they were my school work.
- Anet is absolutely amazing. I really appreciated her willingness to help and her kind, human approach. Thank you very much💓!
- I loved Aneta’s availability and helpfulness, especially when I missed a deadline. It was really nice to be met with understanding and kindness. I also appreciate the fact that she always replied to my emails the same day and was willing to answer any of my excessive questions. I enjoyed the discussion-based assignments the most, I never felt judged when I spoke, even if what I said was complete nonsense.
- I have taken two CTM courses previously, but here, the instructor was by far the best. I was not scared about reaching out and everything was kept very professional, while still maintaining a sense of familiarity and kindness. The discussions were very well done and the explanations of the instructor helped me a lot.
- I don't want to judge others, but just based on the work, I would say that Aneta has really good structured work and explanations, she helped us everytime we needed help, she remained with us for every meeting, she let me resubmit my work even if it was late. Everytime she was really kind and positive.
- I really enjoyed having her as my instructor, i greatly appreciate the openness and kindness she provided. I'd say she is my favourite ctm instructor so far ;).
- I can say that the course instructor was welcoming and always provided feedback which I consider essential. All in all, I have no objections at all.
- The course instructor was really great. She was really sweet and always made sure we knew exactly what we had to do and we could always reach out to her if we didn’t understand or if we need help with anything. I liked how after each course we had a DBA and we could talk to her and she even left a little time at the end to answer any questions, that we needed answered. She was also really helpful when we were doing the collaboration assignment, she always checked up on on us and helped with everything.
How much time, on average, did you spend on the course weekly?
- To be completely honest, I don’t really know how much time I spent on average, especially because it varied. Rewriting all my notes usually took me around two hours, and on top of that, there were the hours spent studying the actual concepts or finishing assignments. I would say it took me around six hours in total each week.
- I spent about 4 to 5 hours per week studying.
- I did statistics on my phone app each time I studied in CTM for psychology and it was on average 7-8 hours weekly, so quite manageable.
- I have spent like 2 hours on average on this course weekly. Depending on different tasks.
- To be honest it was really different each week. I wrote my notes and then read it. I was usually writing the test right after I finished with my notes so I remembered everything really well.
- On average, I tried to dedicate about two hours per week to the course. I always did my best to balance it with school and training.
If you could change anything about the course (e.g., workload, assignment formats, instructor, content, reports etc.), what would it be?
- To be completely fair—this is probably a very cliché answer—but I really wouldn’t change anything. The content was incredibly interesting, and the assignments pushed us to understand the concepts better. While the workload was quite intense at times, I still think it was perfect because, without it, we wouldn’t have gained as much knowledge. Aneta was amazing—always helpful and kind—and it was obvious that psychology is close to her heart. The reports she wrote were encouraging while still being fair.
- I don’t think there’s much to change overall, but sometimes the design of the course pages glitched on my tablet or phone. Also, when I clicked on underlined words to see definitions, the pop-up would sometimes appear behind other parts of the page. It would be helpful if the definitions always appeared on top of everything else.
- Everything was clear. The only thing I’d suggest is explaining the collaboration assignment more clearly—sometimes I was confused about where my teammates were getting the information about our tasks. However, the workload was adequate!
- As I have said, I would not change a bit of this course, I was very satisfied with everything I did, so I have nothing to comment on.
- I wouldn't change anything, it was one of the best experiences I could have in my life as a student. I would recommend it to everyone.
- Honestly, I wouldn’t change anything. Anet was fantastic, and I believe she was always open to communication. In my opinion, that’s what matters most. I wouldn’t change a thing about the course.
- I would not change anything. This course exceeded my expectations, the workload was just enough to manage, the assignments were fun and in case I had any questions, I could write to the instructor and get an answer in less than a day. I would really like to thank my instructor for this course, I enjoyed it very much.
- I would add some psychical disorders like anorexia, bulimia etc. But overall I feel like this course is really well structured, and I also appreciated the description of “new, professional” English words.
- I don't think I'd change anything, it summarised all topics well and provided interesting information and facts. The due dates were manageable and structured conveniently, not overlooking holidays.
What students say about the course - 2023/24:
What did you enjoy about the course?
- Each module was very interesting and fun, and I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot of new things that I will definitely use.
- I actually enjoyed everything in this course. I really liked all the assignments, all exams and especially our discussions. Even the presentations with the material were very nicely made, not boring at all. I have learned actually so much that I can't be specific right now, because I would have to include every single fact, theory and person I learned about. I loved it.
- I enjoyed and really liked the fact that we could all work at our own tempo. It proved helpful as I can struggle with deadlines so the fact that we had an entire week to complete one assignment was really useful. I also enjoyed the actual learning itself. Before going into this course, I was interested in applying psychology into business but throughout this course and my own studies, I found out about my interest in psychoanalysis.
- I enjoyed how everything was well written and easy to understand.
- I enjoyed that I got to learn new interesting information. All of the materials were easy to understand.
- I enjoyed that it was online, so I was able to actually take some time off to complete my assignments.
- I enjoyed that the course taught about many various topics in the field of psychology. This gave us a good understanding of the basics of psychology, as well as helping with potentially choosing a specific topic a person would like to focus more on.
- I most enjoyed that the lessons were created differently than in my school and that we learnt it efficiently and we talked about actually important stuff that is connected and makes sense, instead in school where we just study definitions without understanding the issues.
- I probably most enjoyed the collaboration, because I had a lot of fun with that. And also presentation making.
- Processing of individual topics, information was new and interesting but not unnecessarily complicated. I liked that.
- The course was really fun, and I learned a lot of new things. It was completely different from my other courses, and I loved the experience.
How do you evaluate the course instructor?
- 10/10, I have nothing to complain about.
- I am very happy [for] our instructor. She was always very helpful and friendly. She always answered any questions and also sent materials for more so that we could take care of the topic more. Thank you!
- I really really liked our instructor. She is so nice and sweet, helpful and is open for discussion anytime. When I had any question, she answered me immediately which I appreciated a lot. She helped me get through this course and I don't think I could have done it without her- there were many new terms and theories that I didn't quite understand, so I asked immediately Anet about it and I got my answers. Even when I asked for further resources, she wrote me right away for example book recommendation (I already have some of them on my wishlist) etc. I have no complaints and I hope our paths will sometime in the future cross again.
- I think she did a good job, but definitely could have been a bit less strict with us.
- I think that Ms. Zavadilova is an excellent instructor. Whenever I had time management problems or didn’t understand something, I knew I could turn to her for help with the given subject and the encouragement and praise after getting a good grade was always nice to see.
- I think that she has been very patient, helpful, tolerant and really understood psychology of course.
- I want to say that I am very grateful for our instructor, because every time I needed something she helped me.
- Maybe it will sound unoriginal, but I was extremely satisfied with the lecturer's approach. She complied when needed, she was very nice and you could see that she wanted to pass on some knowledge to us.
- Miss Zavadilová is a really nice person. She addressed all concerns that I had and responded quickly when there was trouble.
- Miss Zavadilová was both kind and helpful. I could rely on her for help, and she had all qualities a good teacher and mentor should.
- She was very nice, kind, and understanding.
- What I really liked about our course instructor was her personal and individual approach toward us students.
How much time, on average, did you spend on the course weekly?
- I am not sure, as it would depend, but not over a few hours.
- I did not count that precisely, but I would say about 2 hours.
- I honestly do not remember, maybe about 4-6 hours? I wouldn’t say I had an average. I didn’t have buzz actively opened, but I did study the materials we had.
- I spent an average of about 3 to 4 hours weekly.
- I think I spent about 2-5 hours a week on the course.
- I would say 3 hours and sometimes less and sometimes more.
